I recently had the pleasure of experiencing an amazing getaway at the stunning Iberostar Selection Cancun. It is an all-inclusive resort for families, friends, and solo travelers. There is a separate building that houses a more exclusive Coral Level. This is a more premium and exclusive getaway from the main resort when compared to the general suites at the resort. If you are looking for a private romantic getaway, the Coral level might be your interest. I stayed in the main level suites during my stay but may perhaps try the Coral level next time. A Seamless Welcome
Other than not providing shuttle service from the airport to the hotel, I had a great time once I arrived. I recieved a warm welcome when I arrived at the Iberostar Selection Cancun. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating during my stay. Checking in was effortless and I was given water after arriving at the hotel. Following check-in I was quickly escorted to my room. The bellboy helped bring the luggage into the suite so that I could relax and get into vacation mode. This smooth start set the tone for the incredible time that I had during my stay at Iberostar Selection Cancun.
Luxurious Accommodations
My room at Iberostar Selection Cancun was nothing short of luxurious. The moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the breathtaking view of the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean. The room was spacious and the furniture was beautifully decorated! The bedding was so comfortable that I wanted to just lay and nap when brought to my room. The plush comforters were heavenly to sleep on during my stay after long days of exploring Cancun. The bath was large and well decorated with granite counters and rainfall showers in the shower. After a long day in the Cancun heat, there is nothing better than coming back to your room and taking a nice cool shower to freshen up.

One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional dining experience at Iberostar Selection Cancun. Iberostar Selection Cancun is an all-inclusive resort. There are many options for you to pick from during your stay. Each restaurant experience is different than the next and they all exceeded my expectations. One thing to keep in mind is to reserve your spot at the restaurant you want to dine in. The resort was pretty full at the time I went and I wasn’t able to dine at some of the restaurants because of no availability. The dining options include a breakfasts and main lunch buffet.

The breakfast buffet had many options to choose from. It ranged from American-style foods to omelets, fruits, and pastries to choose from. I enjoyed everything at the breakfast buffet and it was always exciting to try something new every day in the morning.

The lunch buffet also has a range of cuisines to choose from. They had a salad bar, pizzas, and sandwiches as well as a made-to-order menu which was a personal favorite. You can ask to have a meal made a certain way to your preference which is great if you have a food interreference or are just a picky eater like me. The buffets can get a bit chaotic due to the rush of guests all trying to grab a meal during the lunch hours.

For dinner, I always ate at the restaurants at the main level. Antiguo Laguito was my favorite and go-to during my stay. The resort also boasts a hibachi-style Asian restaurant called Naga Hibachi which requires reservations if you wish to dine there. La Horma was another restaurant providing French Cuisine and again a reservation is recommended. La Parilla is a wonderful steakhouse that I recommend you check out if you get the chance.
From savoring gourmet dishes at the on-site restaurants to relishing casual meals by the beach, every bite was a testament to the resort’s dedication to culinary excellence.

The resort’s location to the city’s cultural and historical treasures allowed me to explore the Mayan ruins, go shopping at the local malls, and immerse myself in the local culture. The staff at Iberostar Selection Cancun went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was exceptional. Their attention to detail and friendly demeanor made me feel like a valued guest. The staff’s prompt responses to any requests or questions were greatly appreciated. The entertainment staff especially went above and beyond to keep the guests entertained every day. Their energy was infectious and effective.
